Hi there! I'm David.

I'm an independent game designer and gameplay programmer with over 25 years of experience. I specialize in first-person shooters, but can also work with many different genres and styles.

I'm currently open for work, whether they're big or small projects. Feel free to contact me if you're interested in hiring my services, and I'll be glad to discuss with you!

Please note that I'm only open for paid work at this time, meaning that I'll have to decline any unpaid collaboration offers or work based on revenue shares. Thank you for your understanding.

More About Me

My name's David Jalbert, I'm an indie game developer from Quebec, Canada. I specialize in game design and programming, but I also dabble in 2d and 3d art, writing, audio, UI/UX, and even music production (but only a little bit as a treat, every so often).

I've been coding since 2000 when I inherited my uncle's Commodore 64 and it's grown into a passion since then. Nowadays I mostly make games using Godot 4 and C#, but I also have experience with a vast array of game engines, including Game Maker, Libgdx, MonoGame, Love2D, RPG Maker, and Phaser, to name only a few, but especially with Unity, which I started using in 2014, and with which I made and released several projects since.

In my spare time you'll often find me playing games (I like playing just as much as making), practicing my singing and generally getting lost in music, and getting creative with old, semicentennial electronics.
